Carmen Rojas Larrazábal is a poet, cultural coordinator, anthologist and editor from Venezuela. She holds specializations in English literature, Chicano studies, and Afro- American Literature. Larrazabal has founded founded Artepoesía por La Paz in the US, El Arco & La Flecha Editores, poetry publishing House, The International Poetry Prize of Poetry, and Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. Caza de Palabras, (Word chase) is a Spanish language a poetry event she began in Salem. Her poetry has appeared in journals and anthologies and in her own books Confesiones de la ausencia (Confessions of loneliness), Fracturas del Silencio (Fractures of Silence), El tren de las cosas perdidas (The train of lost things).

The Salem Poetry Project continues at the Bush Barn Annex, 600 Mission St SE, Salem. Parking for the Bush Barn and Bush House is located off of High Street and the Annex entrance is just to the left of the main entrance. Each week will present a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow.
