Some Group Guidelines
• There is a $10 annual membership fee. Dues collected will be used to offset the costs associated with Meetup. Any residual funds will be used for group activities and events. Not sure that this group is a good fit for you? No worries. New members will enjoy a free trial period before payment is required for participation.
• We believe games should be accessible and costs should not be prohibitive. However, please be aware that there is the possibility that some games may be pay-to-play. There is also the possibility of additional fees associated with some activities or venues (cover/table fees). Any pay-to-play or venue fees will be clearly stated upfront in the event details.
• We respect that we all bring something different to the table. It would be so limiting if we all thought the same way and shared the same experiences. We want to celebrate player diversity. All are welcome regardless of color, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, neurodivergence, or religion. Harassment of any kind or other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
• This group will be organizing activities and events primarily for adults. Unless an activity or event specifically references “family-friendly” or other age-related information, assume it’s an adult-only activity or event. Child care will not be provided.
• We practice kindness and courtesy. Please remember to update your RSVPs if your plans change. Repeated No Shows will target you for being removed from our group. We understand that sometimes things happen. Life gets busy and messy. That is not an excuse to be inconsiderate. Please discuss attendance expectations with the GM before beginning an ongoing campaign.

Blackwater Creek: The investigators are called to look into the disappearance Dr Henry Roads and his wife, Abigail of the Miskatonic University. The Roads were leading an expedition near Blackwater Creek, but they mysteriously ended the expedition early and sent their student workers home while staying on to finish up. They have since stopped all communication, and their concerned colleagues sent you to find out what happened. This Call of Cthulhu scenario is set in the backwoods of the Miskatonic Valley in Massachusetts in the early 1920s. Themes include corruption, mutation, bootlegging, and Eldritch Horrors.
Content Warnings include: violence, physical corruption of humans and animals, blood, guts, gore & bodily fluids, nudity, insects & vermin.
Notes from the GM:
Investigators from the previous open play games can be used, and I have pregens if people want. Original investigators must be made using the core rule books or the links provided, and sent to me by the Sunday before the game to be double checked. Character backgrounds need to be related to the Miskatonic University and the Society of Exploring the Unexplained (a social club for people who fancy themselves as paranormal investigators). New characters should also have no experience dealing with the Mythos. They may believe in ghosts or other spirits, but have no firsthand experience with actual paranormal entities.
If you have any questions, please message Garult on the Salem TTRPG Discord or post in the Call of Cthulhu channel by Monday before the game.
