Brindlewood Bay

About this Game:
Brindlewood Bay is a tabletop role-playing game that combines Murder, She Wrote with H.P. Lovecraft. In it, you play a group of elderly women, members of the local Murder Mavens Mystery Book Club, who help the authorities solve murder cases in a picturesque New England Town.

As this is a one-shot, probably won't be getting into the Lovecraftian aspect, as that is more fora campaign, but who knows. This is not your typical murder mystery, as there is no set solution. The players make a theory, and if they pass the check with the collected clues, then that is what happens. So no worries about impossible, arbitrary puzzles like some escape rooms. The mystery will be revealed during the session, but fair to say someone died, and can the players solve it? Stay tuned...
Notes from the GM:
This is all roleplaying/investigation and mimics being like a tv show, not really any conventional combat, but there is danger. The players drive aspects of the world as the scenario has engaging questions like how might you be familiar with the suspect or what's unique about this location? Allows for lots of improv. The system uses d6's, but at most you need 3. We'll make characters during the session, but you can have an idea of who you want your Maven to be. Main requirements: old, retired, widowed lady, likes murder mystery books.
