We have a rare treat this month for the group. Charlie Isaacs, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer at Salesforce.com will speak about The Internet of Things, and some of the latest Implementations across many different verticals; including Retail, Healthcare, and Automotive. Charlie is an engaging speaker, and has a deep understanding on where the industry is headed.

But wait, there's more!

Two Salesforce leaders will be discussing community events and online communities. Salesforce MVP Eric Dreshfield will discuss Midwest Dreamin’ – The Midwest, regional user group event of the summer, being held on July 10th. Force.com MVP Jesse Altman Eric will give you an intro to the Salesforce StackExchange community for developers and powered by developers

This will be followed by raffles and a short presentation by Birst

About Charlie Isaacs

​Charlie Isaacs has a track record of R&D leadership, starting with GTE (eventually became Verizon), where he served as Vice President of Engineering and headed a group of over 200 engineers working on Government and commercial applications. Following GTE, Mr. Isaacs held R&D leadership positions at Answer Systems (acquired by Computer Associates), and served as Chief Technology Officer at Broad Daylight (sold to Primus) and at Primus Knowledge Systems until Primus’ acquisition by ATG and then Oracle. Charlie served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Customer Officer at Kana Software, Inc. Charlie left KANA in 2009 and joined the Alcatel-Lucent/Genesys Global Innovations Group where he filed several SoLoMo (Social/Local/Mobile) patents and guided several Customer Service applications. Charlie joined Salesforce in 2012 and is Vice President and CTO for Customer Connection. Charlie has over 20 years of CRM experience. Mr. Isaacs holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from California Lutheran University. Charlie speaks worldwide about IoT, M2M, and Customer Service and has filed several patent applications at salesforce.com (http://salesforce.com/).

Jesse Altman is a 6x certified Force.com MVP who is passionate about all things Salesforce! He blogs about the Force.com platform on a weekly basis and contributes to the Salesforce StackExchange as one of the top members of the community. While working for FinancialForce.com, a leading ISV partner, he remains active on both Twitter and LinkedIn. On top of all of that, he is also the co-leader of the Lehigh Valley Salesforce Developer User Group.

About Eric Eric Dreshfield

Eric Dreshfield is a two-time Salesforce MVP, found his passion in late 2009 when he accepted a role to helping to roll out the Service Cloud to a technical customer contact center. Shortly after he launched the Southern Indiana Salesforce User Group and in 4 years has grown that group from its humble beginnings of only 5 people to now having an average attendance of 30 fully engaged Salesforce users, admins and developers. Eric is active on the Success Community, and especially likes helping first time Dreamforce attendees make connections and find their way. He will be hosting the 3rd annual Newbie “Reunion” Breakfast at Dreamforce in October, and expects a packed house of nearly 130 newbies who will enjoy a good breakfast and great conversation before the opening keynote address. Eric is also passionate about helping form new user groups by offering tips to new user group leaders on how to be successful. He’s the occasional blogger at ericforcefield.wordpress.com (http://ericforcefield.wordpress.com/), writing mostly about the Salesforce community and the Dreamforce experience.
