Organic Gardening Workshop
Details
Join us to learn from two local gardening experts about growing your own healthy, affordable food. We'll also have free seeds and resources to help you grow your own vegetables.
About our workshop speakers:
Lauri Selpien has served as the garden master of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry and Community Garden since 2012. She brings generations of love and wisdom from her family's garden practices. Lauri will share valuable methods and resources for long-term success in the garden.
David Graf, a founding member of the Salient Community Garden, will share a wealth of knowledge in planting, composting, and feeding healthy soils. With decades of experience, he will provide incredible tips for garden planning, weeding, and more.
We look forward to welcoming both new and experienced gardeners and expanding the garden as much as possible this year!
This is a free, in-person workshop open to the public. We look forward to growing together!
