Announcing our Salsa Night on Saturday, October 10, 2026: We will have 15 times World Champion, Yasbek Cervantes, as our instructor teaching an amazing Mambo and Pachanga class! Yasbek is in Canada participating in the salsa and Bachata Congress and we are so happy he is taking the time to come and teach in our venue.
Join us for an amazing night of lessons and social dance.
6-11 pm
$25 per person includes:
6 -7 pm: Mambo (ON2) Fundamentals
7-8 pm: Pachanga Fundamentals
8-9 pm: Mambo partner-work
9-11 Social Dance

Bio:
Yasbek Cervantes, a highly accomplished Mexican dancer, choreographer, coach, educator and cultural entrepreneur with an extensive international career in salsa and Latin dance.
Cervantes has achieved the distinction of becoming a 15-time World Salsa Champion, establishing himself as one of the most successful figures in the international salsa community.
His competitive achievements have been complemented by an extensive career as a choreographer. Throughout his professional career, he has choreographed more than 450 performances, demonstrating extensive experience in artistic creation, stage performance and choreography.
Cervantes is also widely recognized for his work as a dance coach. He is known within the dance community by the nickname “#midasking,” a reference to the strong competitive results frequently achieved by dancers who train under his direction.
This reputation reflects not only his own competitive accomplishments, but also his ability to develop, train and prepare dancers for high-level performance and competition.
In addition to his work as a dancer, choreographer and coach, Cervantes is a certified judge for dance competitions and has participated in internationally recognized events. Among his professional engagements was his participation as a judge at the Festival Mundial de Salsa de Cali, Colombia, in 2022, one of the major international events associated with salsa culture and performance.
Cervantes is also an entrepreneur and cultural project leader. He is the CEO and founder of Newyorican Mambo Intensive Training Program and Newyoricans Worldwide, organizations focused on the training, professional development and international connection of dancers.
His professional profile is further complemented by a strong academic background. Cervantes is a university-trained professional with two master's degrees and has experience as a university educator in Barcelona, Spain. His academic expertise includes international trade, providing an interdisciplinary perspective that connects the artistic sector with business development, entrepreneurship and international professional relations.
