• What we'll do

Hi everybody! It's so nice to have the gift circle rolling again! From what I've seen and heard, there have been many beautiful connections made this past month, ranging from people helping fix roofs, to gifting home de-cluttering and decorations, and much more. It'll be exciting to see what comes from this next one!! :)

Join us at Stephanie Barber's home (1887 E Mary Dott Way, SLC, UT 84106 ) on Saturday, February 24th, 2018, from 12pm - 2:30 pm, to experience the joy of gifting things you no longer need, and/or your original skills and talents, AND the magic of receiving the unique gifts of others. Discover new and awesome friends and community, while de-cluttering our lives of unused things, and helping our earth by reusing!

The process is simple: Come with a list of your talents and items you'd like to freely share with others, as well as a list of what you’d like to receive. (Don’t be shy – asking for what you want makes giving possible!). Gifts can be physical things (food, household items, etc) or services, (help with pet-care, cleaning, telling stories, having company, emotional support, etc). Some examples of gifts given have been: trampolines, ping pong tables, laptops, sewing machines, elliptical machines, seeds and seedlings, roof repairs, building materials, singing lessons, child care, gardening help, hiking buddies, massage and more! This is a place where your wildest dreams actually do come true! If you have larger items to gift, or have more items to share than you can bring, we suggest you take photos of them on your phone to share, or bring photos.

HOW IT WORKS:

We sit in a circle, and in the 1st Round, you share your name and experience with Gift Circles, or if you're a newbie (we LOVE newbies!) share what inspired you to join us.

2nd Round is where you share what you have to gift and your contact info - email/phone – so folks can connect with you to arrange logistics on the gifting. *Bring a pen and paper to write down each other's contacts, and to note who you might give to or receive from.

3rd Round in the circle is when you share what it is you want or need. We invite you to be fearless in asking for what you desire. Folks have sold their homes, discovered relationships, traveled to exciting places and gone on great adventures - people have had help remodeling homes, putting on roofs and more - again, the sky is not the limit, folks! The more willing we are to receive, the more abundant life becomes - and often folks report receiving what they asked for and more outside of the group as well. So the spirit of giving and receiving grows larger than our circle in our lives!

Lastly we schmooze amongst one another for 15-20 minutes after all 3 rounds, connect with folks, and make plans to follow up with passing along the skills or goods. It's simple, it's great fun, it's creative and it's community. We hope to see you there!!! :)
