Salt Lake City Writing Critique Group

This critique group is for serious writers who are looking for accountability and feedback on their work. The group will meet monthly for 1-2 hours, with the opportunity for writers to submit 10-25 double-spaced pages for feedback and discussion. Pages will be due one week before the meeting to give members a chance to read the submissions and add comments. Based on the number of submissions for each meeting, we will set a time limit for discussion of the pieces. The goal is to create a supportive and rigorous environment for writers who value constructive criticism and seek to improve their craft — and ultimately to encourage writers to complete stories, essays, and book-length works for publication. No AI-generated submissions are permitted. Both fiction and non-fiction are welcome. Group size is limited, and applications will be considered via Meetup's screening questions. Let's get writing!
