How can I be a Good Man?

What does it mean to be a ‘Good Man’? Traditional roles for men have changed. It used to be that a man was expected to be either a captain of industry or at least the household breadwinner and not much else. Now, in many heterosexual households, the woman makes more than the man, or at least contributes significantly to the finances. Men are now encouraged to take on many of the household responsibilities that were traditionally the domain of the woman.

What it means to be a man, let alone a good man, has been challenged. ‘Patriarchy’ and ‘toxic masculinity’ are rightly condemned. Some argue that men should be no different than women. Many men wonder what positive role there is for them. So, it seems like a good time to ask, “What is a Good Man?” and “How does one become a Good Man”. We’ll dive into this and hopefully come to a better understanding.
