When Life Feels Too Much

Details
#### A Buddhist Approach to Greater Peace
Join us for a nourishing half-day retreat (in person or online) exploring how Buddhist teachings can help us find greater peace in the midst of overwhelm, pressure, and inner and outer struggle.
Through two sessions of teaching and guided meditation, we’ll look at how to soften the inner tension we carry, from the weight of responsibilities to the pressure we put on ourselves.
The morning begins with a talk and meditation on overwhelm: how it arises, how it affects us, and how Buddhist practice can offer grounded tools for relief. After a break for tea, coffee, and conversation, we’ll return for a second session focused on how to relate more kindly to ourselves, especially in moments of stress, self-doubt, or inner criticism.
Whether you’re feeling stretched thin or simply curious about a more peaceful way of being, we hope this event will offer a welcoming and down-to-earth space to explore these practices among like-minded people. We hope you’ll leave feeling inspired and more at ease, with new tools to support you in everyday life.
Venue location: The Swansea Wellbeing Centre, Walter Road, Burman Street, Swansea SA1 6BW
#### Booking & Donations
There are limited places available for this half-day retreat. We will also be livestreaming the sessions for those who’d like to join from afar. Please book in advance for both in-person and online attendance using the following link: When Life Feels Too Much (Half Day/Hybrid) - Samadhi
We are embracing a sliding scale policy for this event, guided by the Buddhist principle of generosity and inclusivity. Samadhi is a charity, and we have suggested donations that help cover the cost of putting on this event and our day-to-day costs. Choosing the higher option includes a donation to support our activities for the benefit of all.
We firmly believe, however, that financial constraints should never be a barrier to participation. If the suggested amount is beyond your means, please choose the lower option or contribute what you can — every offering helps make this event possible for the collective good. Without your honesty and generosity, we wouldn’t be able to make this event happen!
