Breathe Stronger, Live Longer - Health and Well-being - The Power of Wei Qi and the Metal Element.
A seven-week course running from November 5th to December 17th (join anytime, recordings of previous sessions available)
Qigong is a gentle mind-body discipline with roots in the distant past. Relatively simple to learn, it is a gentle form of exercise for better health, rejuvenation and regeneration, and is sometimes referred to as Taoist yoga. On this course we will be working with the Metal Element.
Metal and the Tiger
The Metal element is associated with the cooler darker months of Autumn. In the body Metal governs the Lungs and Large intestine and rules the body/minds ability to take in and let go ‘physically, mentally and emotionally’. The animal form we will be working with is Tiger.
Some of the qualities of the Tiger include strength, flexibility, focus, and boundaries. Working with the Metal Element our intention is to strengthen and support the bodies natural ability to protect and heal. Preparing us for the winter ahead and the transition from Metal to Water in the 5 Element supporting cycle. In the body Metal relates to the lungs the large intestine and skin, Metal helps to strengthen our immune system supporting Wei Qi.
