From Golden, up Lookout Mountain to Evergreen Parkway and return.
Arrive at 9:15 for 9:30 departure.
14 miles up (~2500 feet) and 14 miles return with ~600 feet elevation gain. 28 total miles with ~3100 feet elevation gain. Wheels up at 9:30am. 70% road and 30% trail. Hopefully this ride will get your blood flowing.
Parking at the SE corner of 9th Street and East Street in Golden, behind the Golden Masonic Lodge and opposite corner from the American Legion post.
Up Lookout Mountain for a great view of Denver, past a great French bakery, by Genesse Park with a great view of the mountains and then to Evergreen Parkway and I-70 for a quick stop (Starbucks, or neighboring gas station) before our return trip.
Stop at a quaint brewery on our return for those who would like in Golden (Golden City Brewery - with their food truck) before we all depart.
