Secular Service Corps - Habitat for Humanity

Join us for a meaningful day of volunteering at Habitat for Humanity's ReStore in Waterford Twp! ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. All proceeds go towards Habitat's mission to build homes, communities, and hope.

The tasks for the ReStore volunteer opportunity might include merchandising, pricing, donation intake, cleaning, organizing, and making the ReStore shine for the customers. Please be prepared to perform some heavy lifting. If you are not able to perform lifting tasks, please notify the staff. We do not want you to get hurt! Bring your own work gloves, if you have them. Dress in layers in accordance with the weather and please come in closed-toed shoes.

How to Register:

1. Click on this registration link in order to register for our event.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the event, and click "Sign Up".
3. If you're new to Habitat Oakland, you'll be redirected to create a volunteer profile.
4. Note: Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please do not show up at ReStore without registering as we cannot guarantee availability.
5. Always cancel your registration if you cannot attend so that others may take your spot.

#### Day-of Volunteer Information:

• When you arrive, clock in on the volunteer laptop at the front of the store.
• Clock out when you leave.
• You're not required to work the entire day, but any time you can give is greatly appreciated!

#### Special Note:

We have been given a limit of 10 volunteers for this event by Habitat. Please only RSVP if you're committed to attending. If you can no longer attend, cancel your RSVP as early as possible to give others a chance to fill your spot.
