Total Eclipse of the Park: A Spectacular Natural Show
- Date: April 8
- Time: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Every now and then, the cosmos aligns perfectly to offer us a breathtaking show — a Total Solar Eclipse. This rare event, not to be repeated in Ohio until 2099, offers a perfect opportunity for us to come together in awe of the natural world.
Location & Activities Meet us near the Market Hall at Glass City Metropark in Toledo. Although not an official SHoWLE event, we're teaming up for this celestial occurrence. Watch for updates on our exact gathering spot. Don’t forget your blanket, camp chairs, and snacks for a comfortable viewing experience. We'll coordinate to make sure that everyone has appropriate eye wear with which to view the eclipse.
Why Join Us? Glass City Metropark is hosting a family-friendly event with prime eclipse views on the downtown Toledo riverfront. Experience the eclipse through telescopes equipped with solar filters, delve into the Kids’ Zone with eclipse-themed activities, and enjoy food and beverages from The Garden by Poco Piatti. With a totality duration of 1 minute and 56 seconds, this event promises a moment of wonder and communal joy, rain or shine.
