The Handmaid's Tale Meeting #1

Our first SABBC meeting of the new year is coming up!

📖 For this meeting, we'll be reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood (Chapters 1-24, skip the introduction)

The Handmaid's Tale is a story of an unnamed woman's recounts of being a "handmaid" in a new-age society called The Republic of Gilead. This book is an exploration of women's role in a totalitarian patriarchal theocracy.

We encourage everyone to get a copy from local bookstores or buying used copies, if you can.
