This event will be doing a general bioblitz, documenting animals, plants, insect and birds using iNaturalist Application on smart phone devices. Property will be open at 7:00 AM. Arrive when convenient. Be sure to have iNaturalist installed on your smart device. Or bring your still camera and load observation at home. For additional information how to use iNaturalist - https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/video+tutorials
Team start times will be flexible. First Teams will begin observations at 7:30. Team Leaders have capability to observe mammals, insects, plants, and birds, but some Leaders have specialties. As volunteers arrive, they will be assigned to Team Leaders whose specialties match volunteers’ interests. Transportation to the two quadrants without defined trails are available along with binoculars. A light lunch, snacks and water will be provided.
Current species of wildlife currently recorded on iNaturalist at the farm: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/kirchoff-family-farm?tab=species
Hoping our bioblitz can increase the number of species at the farm and observations for CNC2023.
