About us
Join our group to meet other enthusiasts who enjoy observing and photographing the myriad of insects that are attracted to UV lights(blacklights) in evenings. Many nocturnal moths and other insects are as beautiful and striking as daytime butterflies and dragonflies.
One of our missions will be to add photographic images to the Citizen Science database maintained by iNaturalist. iPhones and Android phones along with digital cameras can be used for photography.
We will schedule gatherings at public and private sites. Some of our members will have portable blacklight setups that can be quickly put in place. Novice members can learn about blacklight setups and photographic options at the gatherings.
Periodically we will schedule social meetings to get to know each other and share insights.
