💞📣Texas Animal Rights March (in Austin)

The Texas Animal Rights March is right around the corner, so let's join forces in numbers, make a statement & speak up for the animals!!🙌

This is more of an informational event post, as this isn't a Meetup-specific event. I (as well as some other SATX folks should be heading up there to attend and join the masses). I also attended last year, so I can try to answer any questions you may have. :)

📍Where: Austin (meeting place: 1100 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701)
⏱March start time: 10am (so arrive earlier. give yourself plenty of time to park, walk and find the meeting spot)
🎒What To Bring: Animal rights/vegan signs, comfy walking shoes, water/snacks for your comfort as it's likely to go on for a few hours. other: sunblock, mask, megaphones, whistles, chalk, if you have.

Join us for the 2025 Texas Animal Rights March — a powerful, peaceful demonstration for animal liberation. This is your chance to show up, speak up, and stand up for those who can’t do it themselves. Together, we will march through the streets of Austin, TX to demand justice for ALL animals and push for a world free from non-human animal exploitation.

Bring your vegan/animal rights signs, megaphones, whistles, chalk, and most importantly — your voice and passion. Wear comfortable shoes — we’ll be walking, chanting, and making sure our message is heard loud and clear.

This is a vegan event rooted in compassion, activism, and solidarity. Let's unite and fight for animals in the way they deserve to be fought for.

GUIDELINES:

• The march speed is intentionally slow to allow for the message to be seen by more bystanders and so slower participants do not get left behind. Do not pass the front banner.
• Our intent is to obey all traffic laws, watch out for cars, and not block pedestrians.
• Stay safe and keep hydrated.
• Ignore hecklers. Their goal is to disrupt the flow of the march.
