Cal State San Bernardino and the KITS Program Presents: Science of Parenting Classes
* FREE for parents/caregivers living within the San Bernardino City Unified School District*
Tuesdays 5:30-7:30pm
April 15th - June 10th
Located at the Home of Neighborly Service - 839 N Mt Vernon Ave San Bernardino CA 92411
The KITS parenting course assists parents and caregivers of young children (0-5 years old) in creating a nurturing, supportive, and language-rich environment in order to promote healthy development and school readiness. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of child behavior and development and learn:
-why the early years are so critical to development
-why parenting style matters
-the importance of a secure parent-child attachment
-AND effective positive child guidance skills.
CLASSES INCLUDE:
-Free child care
-A parenting manual
-A children's book to take home each week
-A light meal
-Graduates receive a certificate of completion
