Details

Mindfulness@noon - Tune In, Open Up, Chill Out
Mindfulness@noon class is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:15-1:00, and is instructed by Dave Goldberg Sensei.
This new program begins Thursday, March 23rd!
What is Mindfulness? Mindfulness is simply awareness to what is happening around you and within you, and is a skill that can be developed with practice. Mindfulness training can dramatically increase your well-being and decrease stress and anxiety. It works by gently exercising three fundamental skills/capacities:
(1) Focusing on what is relevant.
(2) Sensing with greater clarity and higher resolution.
(3) Allowing experience to come and go without push or pull.
More details, and online registration, are available here:
http://www.aikidosd.com/mindfulness.htm
The class is included with Aikido membership in our adult program, but is also available to the public as a stand-alone option.
Each class includes guided exercises and meditations to zoom in and explore different aspects of our experience. The class also includes a gentle and mindful stretch of the body. Any comfortable clothing is fine to wear. We do have dressing rooms if you prefer to change out of work clothes, etc.
If you're interested only in Mindfulness@noon, you can join in two ways: (1) You may pay $10 cash per/session when you arrive, or (2) purchase a discounted package of sessions to be used within six months.
