About us
The San Diego Astrological Society was founded in 1974 as an unincorporated, non-profit association. The purpose of SDAS is to promote the art and science of astrology through education and research, to give the public information to better understand the principles and purposes of astrology, and to cultivate a sense of unity with all astrologers.

When you understand your personal Venus STARBURST, you will see how others complement you, how they may inspire you creatively, karmically, and lovingly. And when you understand how you connect to others, you can make better choices for the purpose of elevating your soul’s journey.

Catherine Boyer has been passionately exploring the cosmos since she was fourteen, combining her studies in modern/humanistic astrology with ancient Hellenistic traditions. Her specialty lies in Venus Star Point (VSP) consultations. She is the director of the VSP Practitioners Group and the leader of NCGR’s newly launched VENUS SIRG/Special Interest Research Group.Catherine is a Board Member of the Organization for Professional Astrology (OPA) and serves as the Publications Director for The Evolving Astrologer magazine. She is a member of ISAR, a former VP of SDAS, the founder of LEAP/Land of Enchantment Astrology People in New Mexico, and a recipient of the AFAN scholarship program.
