Steady monthly rains have brought invasive weeds and blooming wildflowers to the spectacular Henderson Canyon Road Area in Anza Borrego State Park (ABSP). We are organizing an urgent CNPS sponsored weekend weeding service trip, working along with Park staff, to dramatically suppress the desert knapweed and Sahara mustard that threaten to crowd out this world-class display of natives.

Details: Camping will be in the ABSP group campground at Borrego (or stay on your own in Borrego Springs motels); camping is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Weeding will take place Saturday and Sunday 3-5 hours depending on your stamina. Botanical experts will be on hand in the afternoons. Weeders should be capable of walking a mile or over sandy, uneven terrain.
