DOGS: Not allowed in Torrey Pines Natural Reserve.

NOTE: This is the Extension, not the main Natural Reserve.
The Mar Scenic trail ascends steeply at times. It will be interesting to see how some of the area has recovered after a fire in June 2024. We will return via the DAR trail. The iconic Torrey Pines will be on display, a giant pack rat nest and, hopefully, some blooms courtesy of our recent rains.
Bring H2O, snack, sun protection, sneakers/boots with good traction, cell phone. We will be using iNaturalist to help id and document native plants. If you are not familiar with the app, download it and I will demo it for you before we start.
