Special Ballast Point Night at the Coaster Saloon!

Details
The Coaster Saloon is introducing its first Ballast Point night! Darren at the Coaster has put together one night where Ballast Point is the main focus. The special beer coming out of the Cask will be a Habanero Sculpin IPA. In addition to the Cask beer, Darren is going to have five (5) other Ballast Point beers on tap. Needless to say if you like Ballast Point beer, you will feel very much at home at the Coaster this night (and the following days).
Update: The Coaster is going to be selling a pint of the Habanero Sculpin for $6.50. The price includes a flight of three (3) tasters of the other Ballast Point beer on tap. If you know you may not like the Habanero Sculpin, you can pick another pint of Ballast Point beer and choose to have the Habanero Sculpin as one of your tasters.

Here's an online review about the beer on cask. Keep in mind, this is one review from one person who tried the beer last year, your tastes and this batch might be different. The beer is a regular Sculpin IPA with added Habanero peppers. ABV is about 7.00%.
Appearance: The beer pours a clear golden orange color with about a finger of white head. Smell: At first the fruity and citrusy hops are all you smell. But soon after the habanero pepper provides some heat and a little bit of its fruitiness as well. Notes of pineapple and grass round out the nose. Taste: The flavor has retained a lot of the great hoppiness that makes Sculpin what it is. Still a good amount of tropical fruit and citrus with a mild pine. The pepper flavor is mild at first but comes out a bit more as it warms. There is a definite heat on the back of the throat. Mouthfeel: Medium in body and perhaps on the low end of medium in carbonation. Overall: This was much better than I had anticipated, but I can't help but feel like it's just a big waste of Sculpin. Unfortunately the person who was coming with his hot sauce will not be able to come, if this change in plans affects your RSVP, please feel free to change it.
The other beers on tap for the Ballast Point night will be:
Sculpin IPA 7.00% 70 IBUs - The Sculpin is a testament to our humble beginnings as Home Brew Mart. It showcases bright flavors and aromas of apricot, peach, mango & lemon. The lighter body also brings out the crispness of the hops. This delicious Ballast Point Ale won a gold medal at the World Beer Cup 2010 in the International Pale Ale category. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on it’s fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin is considered some of the tastiest. Something that has a sting but tastes great, sounds like a Ballast Point India Pale Ale. Pale Ale (Yellow Tail) 4.60% 23IBUs - There’s no wonder why our Pale Ale is so popular—it is skillfully crafted in the style of the Kolsch beers of Cologne, Germany. We’ve chosen German hops for aroma, and rounded out the recipe with a blend of American and German malts. While it is very much like a Pilsner, our Pale Ale is fermented at ale temperatures, giving it a subdued fruitiness—a perfect compliment to the crispness of the wheat and maltiness of the Munich malt. If you like a lighter brew but also like the complexity of craft beers, then our Pale Ale is for you. Longfin Lager 4.60% - German ingredients combine for a fresh, light malt driven lager. 100% Pilsner malt used. Sea Monster Stout 10.00% - From the deep dark depths of our Brewmaster’s imagination comes this rich and monstrous oatmeal stout. Our Sea Monster embodies all that the true dark beer aficionado will appreciate: roasted coffee notes, with hints of bittersweet chocolate and currant flavors all brought together by a perfect hop balance. Don’t fear the Monster! Our Robust Series gives all beer lovers an opportunity to try our most rare beers, previously available only on draft at select tap houses. Enjoy! Piper Down Scottish Ale 6.80% - Scottish ale aged 5 months in two separate bourbon barrels of Heaven Hill & Old Fitzgerald. Blended and cold aged an additional 6 months. The Coaster has updated their menu and has plenty of good food (some with beer ingredients) that will help with the soaking of the good beer you will be drinking. Come out, mingle, and have lots of fun with other craft brew lovers.
This will be at the Coaster Saloon in the Patio area. Bring a jacket or warm clothes, the beach can get a little cold at night (even in the summer). Parking is across the street at the Belmont Park parking lot. I will be adding more to this page as the information comes in.
