About us

Encouraging Conversations. Empowering Choices.
A welcoming community exploring end-of-life care, caregiving, grief, legacy, and the choices that help us live more fully.

Death is one of the few experiences we all share, yet it remains one of the least discussed.
San Diego Death Talk is a welcoming community for curious minds, caregivers, healthcare professionals, patients, family members, and anyone interested in exploring conversations about serious illness, aging, caregiving, dying, death, grief, and what it means to live well until the end.

Our mission is to create a safe, respectful, and educational space where people can learn, ask questions, share experiences, and explore the many medical, emotional, spiritual, legal, and practical aspects of end-of-life planning and care.

Topics may include:

  • Advance care planning
  • Hospice and palliative care
  • Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD) and Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED)
  • Caregiving and family dynamics
  • Aging and serious illness
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Death and legacy work
  • Funeral and burial alternatives
  • Spiritual perspectives on dying
  • Living with purpose and intention
  • Culture & Spirituality
  • Modern Death Topics

Whether you're planning for yourself, caring for a loved one, working in healthcare, or simply seeking meaningful conversations, you are welcome here.

Our gatherings are educational, supportive, and community-centered. We believe that talking openly about death can help us live more intentionally, reduce fear, and make informed decisions aligned with our values.
