SPECIAL EVENT: Snake Aversion Training Class
Details
**Snake Aversion Training Class for Dogs
Join us for a professionally guided snake aversion training designed to help lower the risk of potential rattlesnake encounters and bites. This is a valuable safety exercise for dogs who hike, walk trails, explore open space, or spend time outdoors in Southern California.
We will have a professional snake handler on site with many years of experience managing controlled training sessions safely and responsibly.
How the training works
• Dogs will go one at a time through the course
• Each dog will be fitted with a specialized e collar used only during the training exercise
• Owners will personally walk their own dog through the course near each snake under guidance
• The goal is to teach avoidance behavior when your dog detects a snake
Training course includes
• 6 different rattlesnake species
• All snakes will be muzzled and under the direct control of the professional handler throughout the event
Scheduling
• We will stagger arrival times to minimize waiting
• Each dog will take approximately 15 minutes
• Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your scheduled time
Rules for safety and flow
• All dogs must remain on leash at all times
• Please maintain space from other dogs
• No on leash greetings during the event
• Follow all handler instructions promptly
• Out of respect for the trainer’s privacy and professional request, please do not post videos of the training online or on social media
