San Diego Folk Heritage Contra Dance

Contra dancing is America's original social dancing, updated for modern tastes! It's easy to pick up, and you'll dance with many people each night. Enjoy the energetic live music and walk-through instruction. You don't need to come with a partner. Just bring energy, enthusiasm and comfortable, clean, non-marking shoes. All dances are taught before each dance, and a caller prompts during the dancing to keep you moving.

Dances are held on the first Saturday of the month, at the at the Dorothea Laub Dance Place, 2650 Truxtun Rd. in Liberty Station, with a great wooden floor. There is an introductory lesson beforehand and a break in the middle.
