Join us for SD Fusion Friday on September 4th at La Vie Dance Studio!

What is Fusion?
Fusion is a playful social partner dance where different styles meet. It draws from blues, salsa, swing, tango, ballroom, contact improv, and more… but you don’t need fusion experience to join.
If you enjoy partner dancing, creative movement, or simply connecting through music, you’ll fit right in.
No partner required. All levels welcome.

9:00 PM - 12:00 AM ~ Social Dance

*Tangueros and the tango-curious are welcome to move freely between our fusion events downstairs and the tango event upstairs throughout the night. One payment gets you access to both spaces.
At midnight, we have the option to head upstairs and join the tango dancers for a tango-fusion afterparty until we’re ready to call it a night.

Suggested contribution for the social: $20

What to Expect
Expect a warm, welcoming night of partner dancing guided by music, connection, and improvisation. There are no choreographed steps to memorize, no performance pressure, and no need to “know fusion.” The lesson will help everyone get comfortable with the basics of connection, consent, and creative partner movement.
Come curious, come as you are, and come ready to move.

You don’t need to know “fusion” to attend. If you’ve danced salsa, ballroom, ecstatic dance, contact improv, swing, tango, or even just love moving to music, you're welcome to come.
At its core, fusion is about connection, musicality, consent, and improvisation. There are no choreographed steps you have to know and no pressure to “perform.”
