Golden Friends: Walking Tour in Balboa Park

Today we will meet in Balboa Park at the Visitors Information Center for a tour to discover the park's historic beginnings. Balboa Park in San Diego has a history rooted in civic planning and cultural enrichment, beginning in 1868 with the designation of a 1,400-acre area as a public park. The park gained significant prominence with the 1915-1916 Panama-California Exposition, which led to the construction of many of the park's iconic buildings and spaces in a Spanish Colonial style, Meet Golden Friends for a nice leisurely walk through Balboa Park!
