Cheers Oceaneers! SEPTEMBER: Maritime Museum & Fugro

Details
Cheers Oceaneers! SEPTEMBER 2025
This is our big event of the year - special location - the Maritime Museum of San Diego!
Many thanks to Dr. Christina Connett Brophy, President and CEO of the Maritime Museum of San Diego for graciously offering the venue to our group! We plan to hold the main presentation aboard the Steam Ferry Berkeley, and then afterwards, we will move over to the Star of India for the "after party" to continue our networking and conversations about all things that are ocean and tech related. Dr. Connett Brophy will also be one of our main presenters for this event.
In addition, we will have Greg Murphy, Coastal Resilience Lead at Fugro, giving us a technical presentation about his and his company's ventures. Greg is also on the Board of Directors for the Maritime Museum, so we have a lot of content overlap for this event - history and future BlueTech come together!
***
Welcome to the monthly event for the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES), San Diego Chapter, which is hosting this meeting jointly along with TMA BlueTech (The Maritime Alliance), and MTS (Marine Technology Society).
Please join us for the main presentation and also plenty of time for networking and friendly conversation about everything oceanic, engineering, science, Blue Tech, and more. No need to be an IEEE or OES member, or TMA, or MTS. Everyone is invited!
For this event, we really need everyone to register, so we can get an accurate count.
