CHEERS OCEANEERS!

Welcome to the monthly event for the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES), San Diego Chapter, which is hosting this meeting jointly along with TMA BlueTech (The Maritime Alliance), and MTS (Marine Technology Society).

***
Our main presenter is Michael B. Jones, CEO of SubSeaSail and Founder of TMA BlueTech.

Michael will talk about the development of SubSeaSail®, Inc. and its mission to revolutionize human interaction with the ocean and ocean warfare by Changing the Math with the Small, the Agile, the Many, the Invisible, the Attritable. SSS is developing two lines of disruptively affordable, dual usage, 100% energy harvesting (wind+solar), long-duration, ultra-low-signature Autonomous Undersea & Surface Vehicles (AUSVs). These sailing vessels with solar rechargeable batteries for comms, sensors and thruster – semi-submersible ISR vehicle HORUS™ and fast logistics vehicle HERMES™ – are virtually invisible above water and can submerge to 100 m to hide from bad actors/weather and listen/monitor. Backed by NSIC/DIU funding, SSS has accelerated manufacturing engineering and testing. Starting Q4 2025, SSS is accepting pre-orders for HORUS with first deliveries in Q2 2026.
