Moving Security to the Left

Details
Please join us at Teradata on Thursday, August 30th for a presentation and discussion on moving security to the left, led by Javier Godinez.
“The latest penetration test revealed a number of security issues in our production environment and we need a fix ASAP.” Does this sound like a common story? Finding security defects in your production environment is not only alarming, it can be right down terrifying given the sensitive data housed in your infrastructure. The issue is exacerbated by the number of false positives that commercial security tools produce.
Building secure applications is not simply about the technology, company culture has the greatest impact on integrating security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Finding product security issues in production environments is simply too late in the SDLC, we must invest time and effort in fixing these issues before software ships, that is, we need to move security to the left. Come learn how we are changing the Teradata culture to produce more secure products.
**Javier Godinez is the Director of Application Security at Teradata where he is responsible for injecting security into the Software Development Lifecycle.
