Wow. Before Elon DOGEd the U.S. government like an ignorant Nazi clod high on his own supply (and, as reported widely, other drugs), he did the EXACT SAME thing to the unique social media platform that was Twitter. I don't know if Kate Conger understood the wider significance of her funny and incredibly well-sourced/detailed "business reporting" when it was issued in 2024. But to me, her book now seems a must read. Elon's involvement with Twitter is stupid, crazy and infuriating--in a very familiar way. The first part of this may be a little Twitter-history heavy for those who did not use the platform/don't miss it. But as soon the grotesque Musk enters the tale, it's hard to put down. You already know this man is an ass and worse. Hopefully, we can dish on him with the ridiculous examples in "Character Limit," and also those we've all been disgusted by this year.
