Come join us for a beautiful and creative afternoon in supportive community! Visual art and poetry can be fun and playful ways of expressing oneself and connecting with others. At the same time, these creative practices can be powerful portals for deepening self-connection, clarifying feelings, values and needs.
If you ever experienced agitation and rumination, visual art and poetry can be a useful tool for grounding, as well as for surfacing feelings or beliefs held in the body and the subconscious. By bringing these into conscious awareness, we then have greater agency to make more informed and intentional choices. Whether you’re curious to explore another practice for healing, or simply interested in a creative and fun afternoon in community, meeting new friends—join us for some mindfulness, play, and connection!
What to expect:
Please join us in the cozy outdoor space / backyard at Black Market Bakery in North Park for an afternoon of Mindfulness, Collage, Poetry & Connection! Our time will likely include some combination of the following (and will be fluid in responding to the interests and needs of the group):

Sitting in this type of circle with other women “reminds us that it is safe to be vulnerable…that we are linked, that there is power in receiving and giving support, that beauty lives in every shade of our being, and that our magic cannot be measured.
When we welcome one another in, meeting each other exactly where we are, it helps each one of us stand in our power”—Gaia.com, 2018
Excited to meet you all and to explore, play and connect together!
