Silver Strand Intermediate (?) Ride

Welcome to the Intermediate ride field trip to Silver Strand! This group is geared towards more experienced riders comfortable with their mountain bike on blue and (optional) black difficulty trails, but this ride is easy enough just about anybody is welcome including your families!

All participants need to complete the SDMBA waiver at least once every 6 months. SDMBA Waiver
This is a no-drop, intermediate paced ride around some of the best trails San Diego has to offer with time to work on some more advanced skills. The ride is from 5:30pm - 7:30pm, with frequent stops to evaluate and practice features and obstacles. Average distance is 5 - 15 miles with ~500-1500 ft elevation gain.

We will meet at Novo Brazil Imperial Beach (with optional dinner and drinks there after the ride), consider just parking at the Southland Plaza Shopping Center and riding your bike from there.

Mountain biking can be a dangerous sport, and learning new skills can be challenging. Always wear a helmet, bring plenty of water and if any part of the trail is above your ability and/or comfort zone it is okay to walk it.
