Returning to San Dieguito County Park: A Walk to Witness Change

Details
As late spring softens into summer, we return to the San Dieguito Trail—to walk familiar ground and notice what has shifted, both in the land and within ourselves.
Once sculpted by coastal winds and time, this sandstone trail is home to rare native plants like the Del Mar Manzanita, rooted only in this corner of the world.
In their quiet way, they remind us of the beauty that emerges when we stay close to place.
This walk invites you to revisit a familiar landscape with fresh senses.
How has the land changed? How have you?
We’ll begin with a land offering—a gesture of gratitude and respect for the original stewards of this place, and for all the living beings who call it home.
From there, we’ll move slowly and mostly in silence, tuning in to the subtle language of the natural world through scent, sound, light, and texture.
Midway, we’ll pause for breath, stillness, and reflection—with space to share, if you feel moved to.
On the return walk, gentle conversation welcomes you back into connection with others.
This is a space for quiet restoration. A chance to notice. To breathe. To remember the rhythms that live beneath the noise.
We look forward to walking with you.
