Honoring the cycles: A return to Sweetwater Regional Park
Details
The seasons are shifting again — and with them, I find myself returning.
After a few quiet weeks of inward movement, I’m grateful to step back into this shared practice of walking, witnessing, and remembering ourselves through the land!
We return to Sweetwater not just to revisit a familiar trail, but to meet it — and ourselves — anew.
As the season turns toward fall, we return to Sweetwater Regional Park to walk once more among sunlit paths, quiet trees, and the shifting language of the land.
We last visited here in spring, when the trails were soft with new growth and the world felt freshly awakened.
This walk invites us to notice change, not just in the land, but in ourselves.
As the seasons move, so do we.
What has grown? What is fading? What are we ready to let go of, or carry forward, in new ways?
We’ll begin with a land offering and breath practice to express gratitude and respect for the place we’re in and the moment we’re entering.
From there, we’ll move slowly and mostly in silence, attuning to the world around us: the warmth of the sun, the rustle of dry leaves, the way certain plants lean toward light while others retreat to shadow...
These small details remind us that life is always shifting, responding, becoming.
Midway, we’ll pause to sit and reflect, offering space to rest in the landscape and listen inwardly. There will be time for gentle sharing if you feel called.
On our return, we’ll open to conversation, walking together in shared presence.
We look forward to walking with you!
