Rice Canyon: A Continuing Conversation with the Land
Details
There is a conversation always unfolding
between the land and those who walk slowly enough to listen.
As we return to this place, we do so not to repeat an experience,
but to notice what has shifted—
in the landscape, in the season, and within ourselves.
Our nature bathing walk invites us into presence
through the senses:
breathing with the land, listening deeply,
and allowing stillness to guide the way.
We’ll begin by grounding together with gratitude,
acknowledging the place that receives us
and offering our attention in return.
Moving slowly and mostly in silence,
we’ll notice subtle changes—
new growth, fading leaves, unfamiliar sounds,
and the quiet teachings of what is adapting and enduring.
Midway, we’ll pause to sit and integrate,
opening space for breath, rest,
and gentle reflection.
On our return, we’ll gradually reopen conversation—
walking together, weaving connection,
and carrying what we’ve received back into motion.
This practice isn’t about effort or destination.
It’s about relationship—
with place, with time, and with ourselves.
If you’re longing to slow down, reconnect,
and experience the land as a living presence,
you’re warmly invited to join us.
We look forward to walking with you. 🌱
