Welcome singers!
The Seratones Choir is a welcoming singing group for men and women, at all levels of singing who love to sing. There are no auditions and no cost. The ability to read music is helpful but not required, as recordings are provided for all music. We will learn songs in varied styles in 2, 3, and 4 part harmony (world, folk, classical, jazz standards). In rehearsals we do exercises to strengthen the voice, increase range and to improve harmonizing, blending, musicianship and accuracy. We perform one to three times each semester. This is a Hyflex class so students can join in-person or online on Zoom. So if students are unable to come to campus or aren't feeling well, they can still participate. Enrollment is now open for the Fall semester that begins September 3, 2024.
The San Diego Seratones Choir was founded in 2014. We are sponsored by the San Diego Community College District Continuing Education Emeritus Program where Dr. Ramstrum is a Professor Emeritus of Music. There are no-costs or grades.

Here is an article from the Washington Post about how beneficial it is for your physical and emotional well-being to sing with others. I completely agree and feel that too! When we are tired, it gives us energy. When we feel low, it brings us joy. It is why I direct the choir!

Go to https://sdcce.edu/
Click Apply Online, once this is complete, or if you have already done this, login and search for the class.
When you get to the Search for Class area, under Term choose ->Spring 2024, choose -> Continuing Education. Under Subject choose -> MUSV Music Vocal -> CRN 54856, Momilani Ramstrum (no permission number is needed).
