Mt Woodson Sunset Hike & Picnic Dinner

Let’s get together for an evening hike up the back side of Potato Chip Rock—it's a quieter, more scenic route that’s perfect for us and our pups.

We’ll head up in time to catch the sunset, then stop near the top for a casual BYO picnic dinner and some time to hang out and enjoy the view. After that, we’ll make our way to Potato Chip Rock before heading back down the fire road under the stars. It’s a great mix of fun, exercise, and good company—human and canine.

This is a moderately challenging hike with a steady incline, so make sure you and your dog are up for it. No pressure...we’ll take our time and stick together!

Where to meet: Meet in front of the Cal Fire Ramona Fire Station at 5:30 pm. We will leave no later than 5:45 pm so please be on time.

What to bring:

• Your pup (on leash)
• Picnic dinner & water
• Layers (it can get chilly after the sun goes down)
• Headlamp or flashlight for the way down
• A sense of adventure
