First Saturday Swing

First Saturday Swing is the biggest regular San Diego event going to the DJ music. It happens on (you guess) the first Saturday of each month at the Infinity Dance Sport Center. A lesson starts at 8PM, dance party at 9PM. If you plan to attend the lesson, arriving a little bit earlier might turn to be handy, as a line at the entrance is possible (doors open at 7:30PM). Technically the dancing ends at 1AM, but finding a dance partner past midnight might be a challenge.

Logistics: Admission is $10 (you can bring 1 true beginner friend with you for free). Parking is easy and free (use the business parking lots around the building or the street parking), this light-industrial neighborhood feels very safe. Dress for a truly warm atmosphere. The dance floor quality is excellent, probably the best in San Diego. Admission includes a free lesson. Water dispenser is available, complimentary soda, chips and other snacks are provided

Dancers: expect 50-100 dancers present, ranging from beginners to very advanced. The event is quite beginner-friendly.
