About us
Teralta Arts brings people together to make art in ways that heal, nourish and help us grow. When we make art together, we also make more beautiful, connected communities. If you are looking for a way to have a more creative, joyful relationship with yourself or other people, join us.
We support communities throughout San Diego with arts programs for youth, families and individuals from our City Heights ceramics studio. With a staff trained in trauma-informed pottery work, we help people connect to their feelings and experiences through the body and the physical act of working with clay and other art materials.
We have experience supporting artists from all walks of life — including programs for at-risk youth, refugees, English language learners and juvenile offenders. Kids who attend events must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you're a parent, look out for our events that offer experiences for kids during the event, so you get a chance to make art yourself.
Recently we’ve expanded our work into programs that help people connect to the natural world — through art made with natural materials we gather from local farms and nurseries. We’re also looking for ways to support neurodiverse artists to develop creative practices that help them connect to others, express themselves and thrive.
