HoloLens in Surgery from a User Experience Perspective

Details
Join us May 10th at MJD Interactive (http://www.mjdinteractive.com/) in Pacific Beach for an evening of VR/AR talks and demos!
Come hear about one of the projects at +Citizen (http://pluscitizen.com/) where we worked with Stanford Medical on using the HoloLens (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/hololens) to map MRI data (http://pluscitizen.com/hololens-project-serra/) (DICOM) to the body of a patient. Not only that, but we can also show the size and location of a tumor! In this session, we'll be discussing development for HoloLens from a user experience perspective and some of the design and technical challenges that we faced while working on the project.
Matt Witkamp has been working with +Citizen since 2009 and is now leading their efforts in emerging technology. Matt has a background of 20 years in UI/UX design, with a sprinkling of coding.
+Citizen is a globally recognized strategy, user experience design and technical services firm. It uncovers opportunities and creates experiences that make sense of our connected future. Its work spans support for some of the most recognized brands in healthcare, transportation, medical, retail, mobile, and IT.
Come out and meet fellow VR/AR developers and enthusiasts. We'll share stories, have technical discussions and learn about the latest VR news. We welcome any and all levels of knowledge and involvement in VR.
Looking forward to seeing you on May 10th.
