There are many bad habits of UX going around. Habits like the misuse of modals, social sharing widgets, and story telling. During Nelson Abalos Jr's talk, he would like attendees to experience those bad habits in a real way. Hopefully, by the end of Nelson's talk, you will think more about the user first, before making UX business decisions.

August Design Challenge (Deadline Sept): Create an interactive business card with only HTML and CSS.

Present your solution from September's design challenge "Redesign Las Vegas Monorail's Website" - http://www.lvmonorail.com/

Venue change: We are confirmed to meet at the Art Institute in Mission Valley. There are two AI buildings. We will meet in the southern one which is the 7675 Mission Valley Rd. address.

Directions: Travel Friars Rd from either direction then go North on Mission Center Rd. Go West or left on Mission Valley Rd. then take the first left driveway. The building will be on the left.

I've approved everyone on the waitlist since last time we had some 40 RSVP's but only a handful showed up. We should have enough seats at the Art Institue but to guarantee a seat, make sure to come a little early. Just a reminder there are two Art Institute buildings. Our building is on the left or the southern one.
