WordPress vs Joomla Showdown + Design Challenge

For the month of July, we will have an interactive showdown between WordPress and Joomla- the two most popular content management system (CMS) platforms.
Phelan Riessen of Digithrive (http://digithrive.com) will go head to head with Jaime Nacach of Bloominari (http://bloominari.com) on theme design, plugins and extensions, customization, limits, security, challenges and more.
In addition to the discussion Nelson Abalos from Illumina will introduce our monthly design challenge.
This month's design challenge will be to Redesign Las Vegas Monorail's Website.
• Redesign the site with a homepage and one child page
• Must be responsive
• Must focus on the benefits of using the monorail VS taxi or walking around LV
• Buy tickets online is the goal of conversion
Candidates have until next meetup to finish and present their work.

We are confirmed for meeting at 3rdSpace for our July meetup but will be moving to a new venue in the month of August.
