Join me for our fourth Sunday Tactile Spirituality class where we will make accordion style journals. This fun, easy style requires no sewing, just gluing and folding.

I'll be making mine with an eye towards using it in the upcoming Advent Journal-Along, but there's no expectation that you do both classes. Everyone is welcome to this free, hybrid (Zoom and in person) class. Info about the free hybrid Advent Journal-Along: https://www.meetup.com/san-francisco-art-journaling-meetup/events/311860782/?slug=san-francisco-art-journaling-meetup&eventId=311860687&isFirstPublish=true

Supplies provided for those joining in person. If joining remotely, here's a suggested supply list:
I’ll be using:
4 sheets of double sided music paper (as long as it’s not antique and fragile) 8 1/2” x 11”
4 sheets of double sided papers sprayed with inks 8 1/2” x 11”

Other ideas: gelli prints, coffee dyed papers, or scrapbook or whatever you have
You can do this with paper of any size. Whatever papers you choose should go nicely together (and feel like appropriate backgrounds for your advent journal if you’re using it for that). *Choosing double sided papers will make this project go faster for you.

Lots of glue (strong glue stick or Art Glitter glue or other white glue without a lot of water in it. eg Elmers or ModPodge not recommended.)
One or more washi tapes that go with your papers

Thin board/thick paper (like from a cracker box) for the covers
Fabric or more papers to go on both sides of the cover pieces

Lace, sparkles, trims, images for a collage on the cover
Something to tie it closed with (a long ribbon or such)

Free and open to all, thanks to herchurch's tactile spirituality initiative. Kids welcome!
Gladly made ASL accessible, just let me know!

Please text me at 415 425 9070 for the Zoom link or last minute needs as Meetup is not a reliable platform for last minute communication.

When joining us in person, please be free of symptoms of illness and avoid the use of chemical fragrance.
