Dan Woods (@danveloper) Discusses His Latest Grails Adventures

Coming up, on 27th February, we will be joined by Senior Groovangelist Dan Woods.

Dan will be speaking at Netflix in Los Gatos, on the topic of "Practical REST APIs with Grails 2.3":

In "Practical REST APIs with Grails 2.3", we'll discuss a real-world approach to developing REST APIs in Grails 2.3. This talk will cover Grails 2.3 RESTful resources, customizing RESTful controllers, producing "view models", data-binding view models, and securing endpoints with Spring Security. We will also discuss versioning APIs with hyper-media, how and when that is appropriate, and utilizing hyper-media for customized rendering (ie HATEOAS HAL), and finally how to test all of this. This talk will heavily rely on live coding, and will demonstrate consuming REST endpoints from both a browser and a standalone consumer.
