How to Enrich Microsoft Fabric Data with Azure AI Services

Details

Microsoft is brimming with new services as we head into 2024. Fabric provides a modern data platform architecture supporting scalable, high-performance enterprise data solutions. Meanwhile Fabric's Lakehouse architecture based on open Delta Lake Tables enables new possibilities to integrate Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence data flows.

AI and Data Analytics virtuoso Rob Kerr will give an overview of Fabric Data Lake data loading, focusing on using Apache Spark scalable compute to ingest unstructured data, using computational and generative AI to add insights to data, and analyzing Lakehouse data using Power BI.

You will learn:

  • The basics of Fabric Lakehouse Architecture
  • How to ingest unstructured data into a Fabric Data Lake
  • How to use Azure AI Services and OpenAI Services in a Data Lake Solution
  • How to enrich Lakehouse data with large language models & generative AI
  • The steps to build Power BI Semantic Models from Fabric Delta Tables

Rob Kerr is a well-known leader in technology consulting, IT management, data science and software engineering circles. He has served in consulting roles with startup and Fortune 1000 companies in the Automotive, Medical Device, and Financial Services industries.
