NOTE: **This is an Industry event, NOT our usual SF/EBOT monthly meetup zoom.

I sometimes post industry events here. I also mention that beginners may want to bet some basics from trusted resources -- This is a 5/1/2026 online webinar I recommend for "Foundational Knowledge" for Beginners / Novice members who might be having trouble keeping up OR simply want to make their foundation more sound.

And here is the event details from the Options Institute:

Getting started with options
Options can sound mysterious, but they don’t have to be. In this session, we’ll break down what options are, why traders use them, and how they can fit into different investment approaches. You’ll get comfortable with the core concepts, including calls and puts, while exploring both the opportunities and the risks involved. Along the way, we’ll focus on how options can open the door to more flexibility and choice when navigating the markets.

Who should join this class?
Investors starting their journey in the world of options looking for an opportunity to leverage expert guidance as they begin their path.

Description
Join The Options Institute and Adjunct Faculty Instructor Sven Hubens, as he explains the basics of options. He'll cover calls and puts, as well as the potential benefits and risks of using options in your portfolio. There will also be a designated "Office Hours" segment for Sven to answer your questions about these foundational options concepts.
