First SciFi writers meetup! (Los Altos)

Thanks to Leonard Speiser, we have a location for our first meetup! This is at his lovely property in Los Altos, which is pretty easy to get to from most of Silicon Valley (and worth driving for if you're in SF or East Bay).

This first meeting will be mostly a meet and greet, and an opportunity to find "birds of a feather" who are pursuing ideas that are related to yours. We may split up into subgroups for reading drafts or subsequent thematic mini-gatherings around the Bay Area.

The assumption is that all of you are either writing or planning to write "hard" science fiction (ie, where there is some scientific or technical creation that drives the plot forward, and some nerdy exploration of that creation).

We assume that we're all amateurs doing this for fun and to explore ideas around the impact of technology on society, so no expectation that you've made much progress or have much polish. But if you're stuck and looking for inspiration and perhaps help, this is the right place for you!
